My Story, My Mission
The Heart Behind Girl Squad

Hi, I’m Mish, proud Mum to my beautiful 12-year-old daughter Addison and 2 fur babies (Levi & Koda). I’ve spent over 25 years in the fitness and well-being industry, earning a Bachelor of Economics, becoming a Certified Shine From Within Youth Mentor, a Butterfly Foundation Body Esteem Educator, and currently studying Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). I’ve had the honor of being a former Aerobics Oz Style Channel 10 instructor, a Tony Robbins Mastery University attendee, and a former Making Meditation Mainstream Facilitator. I’m also currently the Health and Well-being Officer for Team Australia Cheerleading athletes.

I moved to the Central Coast 12 years ago when my daughter was born, and that’s when I began training Mums and Bubs. I noticed the young children would often mimic the exercises, and at the age of three, my daughter Addi could already do squats, burpees, sit-ups, and lunges! This sparked my interest in providing fitness classes for the younger generation, especially girls. Looking back, I realise I’ve always had a vision to support girls and women at every stage of life. Everything I’ve done in my journey has led me to this point.

However, I wanted more—especially when it comes to personal development. I wanted to create a program that combined both physical and emotional fitness. That’s how Girl Squad was born: a unique, girls-only fitness, well-being, mindset, and mentoring program that integrates movement and mindfulness in an 8-week structured program with progressive learning outcomes.

As a teen and even in my 20s, I struggled with self-confidence, self-belief, and at 22, a major life challenge made me feel unlovable and unworthy. This limiting belief plagued me for nearly a decade, sabotaging my life in ways I didn’t understand. This is the driving force behind my passion for helping young girls develop the tools they need to face life’s challenges with self-confidence, love, respect, and care.

From training hundreds of girls both inside and outside of school, I’ve seen firsthand how they grapple with body image, anxiety, school pressures, friendship issues, and social media. They’ve told me they want to wake up healthy and happy every day, and they love being part of a community of like-minded girls.

Girl Squad is incredibly close to my heart. I treat each girl as if they were my own, going above and beyond to ensure they have an amazing experience that will stay with them for life. Mums, thank you for trusting me with your precious girls. I promise to care for them with all my heart.

Mish xx
